TAS RACING EXTEND CONTRACTS WITH LEADING PARTNERS

After a successful opening season with BMW Motorrad, which included an International North West 200 win, two British Superbike top steps, an Irish Superbike title and second place in the British Superstock 1000cc Championship – TAS Racing is please to announce a two year extension to their deal with the German manufacturer.

Tyco Security Products will extent their support into 2016, which will be their fifth consecutive year as title sponsor of TAS Racing, running under the Tyco BMW banner for a second season.

Team Manager Philip Neill said: “Being chosen to represent BMW Motorrad in British championship and on the International Road Racing scene in 2015 was an enjoyable task. I think our achievements in year one have built a solid foundation and platform for the future, so we are delighted to have our contract as the official team extended into 2016 and 2017.

“As a team we are always looking to improve in all areas of our business, and along with BMW Motorrad and our loyal racing partners, we will be in a position to begin announcing our plans for 2016 in the coming days.

“Thanks must go to Lee Nicholls and his team from BMW Motorrad UK, not forgetting the extended support we have received all season from their German counterparts in the BMW Motorrad Race Support programme.

“We are equally delighted to announce a fifth consecutive season with Tyco Security Products as our title sponsor. Their support has been invaluable and thanks as always goes to Phil Dashey and his enthusiastic team, who have become an integral part of TAS Racing this past four years.”

Lee Nicholls, National Marketing & PR Manager for BMW Motorrad UK, said: “We are very pleased to announce that we have extended our contract with TAS Racing to operate the ‘Official BMW Motorrad UK’ racing team for the 2016 and 2017 BSB and International Road Racing seasons. We have been immensely proud of everything Philip and Hector Neill and their team have achieved this year.

“Our target in British Superbikes was to get two riders into the top six Showdown – which they achieved along with both riders taking race wins.  With Road Racing our aim was to win races and continue to showcase the S1000RR. With Alastair, Guy and William all winning races in 2015 it reinforced the message that the BMW was, once again, the bike to be racing on this year.

“The team are fantastic representatives and ambassadors for the BMW brand and we are delighted to be working with them for the next two seasons. I am confident that with the continued strong support from our colleagues in Germany through the BMW Motorrad Race Support programme, we will celebrate many more victories in the years ahead.”

Phil Dashey, Vice President & General Manager at Tyco Security Products said: “We’ve had a great working relationship with TAS and in turn, our brand has grown significantly as a result, so to renew with them for a fifth consecutive season and continue our association with BMW is a very exciting prospect.”
